Sales Account Manager
The Role
Due to continued expansion and sales development opportunities, we seek an experienced and ambitious sales executive to cover our North East and Cumbria region. Home based and reporting to our offices/NDC in Manchester, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing new and existing accounts in your area with our market leading range of hand protection. The key objectives for the role include working to secure product specifications and long term trading relationships with medium and large end users whilst managing the distributors who supply this market. Activity is split between end user development and distribution management / support and you will become a valuable and respected resource to your customers.
The Candidate
With a minimum of 2 years sales experience, successful candidates will have a demonstrable record of achieving sales growth, display strong self motivation and organisational skills and be able to work independently as well as part of a field based Team of Sales professionals.
Specific experience within the safety industry is not necessary, as all training will be given. You will enjoy travel and meeting new people. You must be motivated, well organised, a good communicator and enjoy working using your own initiative.

Credit Controller
The Role
Globus (Shetland) Ltd is pleased to offer an excellent opportunity to join a leading business in the North West area of Manchester as a Credit Controller. The salary on offer is up to £18,000 dependant on experience. Due to location, the candidate will need to be able to drive and own their own car. Working within a busy accounts team, the main aim of this role would be to reduce the number of overdue accounts and develop relationships within the customer base to ensure our terms are met at all times. The successful candidate will be required to achieve set targets.The role would also include a small part oforder processing during quieter times.
Primary duties would include:
• Handling part of the ledger as part of the accounts team
• Responsible for own cash allocation for the ledger
• Maintains accurate and up to date customer details and account records
• Works with a minimum of supervision on collection of overdue accounts
• Regular customer contact by phone, fax and email
• Identify changes in payment patterns and propose action to avert indebtedness
• Undertake account reconciliations as required
• Uses initiative and imagination to achieve targeted results, while promoting customer goodwill
• Send out monthly client statements/letters as may be agreed from time to time
• Makes adjustments, handles queries and resolves problems within company guidelines and policy
• Provide cover for other accounting functions as requested
• Works under direction of and reports to the Financial Controller
Holidays: 20 days + Bank holidays
Working hours - Mon - Thurs 8.30am - 5.15pm / 45 minutes lunch
Fri 8.30am - 5.00pm / 1 hour lunch
The Candidate
The ideal candidate must have experience in the following areas:
Have strong sense of customer service.
Experience of liaising with internal departments.
Experience of working in a customer focused environment and specifically credit control.
A good working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of packages, particularly Excel.
Ability to prioritise own work load and multi-task.
Experience of working in high pressured situations.
You will also have the following skills set:
Excellent communication skills verbal and written.
Influencing skills and commercial awareness.
Ability to operate effectively across a broad range of customers.
Good analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to identify benefits to the customer and provide solutions.
The Package
